Just because I haven't done one these in a long time, and also because I really like these pics I found recently. Narnia, TLM cast, Rachel Hurd-Wood...

So come along my dears... :D )

Mansfiled Park -- L-R: Maria Bertram (Michelle Ryan), Mr.Rushworth (Rory Kinnear), Julia Bertram (Catherine Steadman), Tom Bertram (James D’Arcy), Fanny Price (Billie Piper).

Persuasion -- Captain Wentworth (Rupert Penry-Jones) and Anne (Sally Hawkins).

Northanger Abbey -- possibly Mr. Thorpe (William Beck) making off with poor Catherine (Felicity Jones). (Insufferable man to try to deceive Catherine twice and keep her away from Mr. Tilney!! Grrrrrrr!!!!)

P.S. I got me self Northanger Abbey, and I Capture the Castle, and Northpointe Chalet, and ordered Central Park (both modern day adaptations of Northanger Abbey and Mansfield Park by Debra White Smith).

Finally! Pictures from the production! Yay! *dances about* Of all the upcoming adaptations of Jane Austen's books, Mansfield Park is the one I'm looking forward to the most. There is not much info at imdb.com; there is a cast list, but only the main female roles are identified. WHO IS EDMUND AND "BLACK AND PLAIN" HENRY?!?!?!

Well, I'm going to have to get used to Billie as Fanny. She seems a bit striking and almost too pretty for Fanny. But these are just my first impressions. Hopefully they will improve.

And we in the USA will see Mansfield Park next November. Over and out!

I've been sick since Sunday and I don't see the end in sight yet. First it was a sore throat, then a runny nose and headache, and finally a cough. Mom thinks my cough is going, but I still feel it way down in my chest. Colds are so annoying.

I say good night with a cute pic to cheer me -- and anyone else having a hard time -- up. *waves*

Smeagol – the family computer – has issues again. Poor guy, and he was doing so well after being knocked out by a thunder storm for two weeks at the beginning of the summer. It wouldn’t start up correctly this morning and I had to keep restarting it. When it finally got all set up, we discovered e-mail was not working, and is still out of service. My dad had to put in a new mouse because the old one kept dying. The worst thing though was that, unexplainably, I somehow lost two one-shots I started yesterday. I cannot figure out what happened because I saved both documents and they should have been fine; but this morning they were gone. Yet all my other writings were accounted for. I hope nothing like that happens again.

On the plus side, I managed to rewrite one of the plot bunnies, the whole thing. So I’m glad about that. Read more... )

*sigh* How I wish we Americans could get BBC! The lucky UK is getting Jane Eyre! Read more... )

I’ve rediscovered the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. I read nearly all the books in the original series and the newer ones when I was younger; and I still have a soft spot for the Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys SuperMysteries. (Frank/Nancy all the way! Secrets of the Nile wahoo!!!) I found several good sites dedicated to these popular sleuths. Nancy and the Hardy Boys found their way to the small screen – TV – several times but were never very popular, which I find interesting. According to imdb.com, a Nancy Drew movie might be coming out next year, starring Emma Roberts as the famous detective. Read more... )
