Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. Mine was wonderful but too short.
I watched Peter Pan (2003) while home last weekend. It has been a long time since I last saw the movie. I'd forgotten how wonderful it is. I STILL get goosebumps when Peter and the children fly to Neverland and "burst" completely out of our world, seeming to be flying among the stars until Peter puts his hand out and its water... Stunning scene and music. I was aware more of the tension of growing up vs. remaining a child, make-believe vs. reality, just having fun vs. discovering "more." Peter and Wendy's relationship seemed more tragic, because of those tensions never fully being resolved. Great performances by Jeremy and Rachel, as always. *sigh*
Now I've been listening to the soundtrack ever since arriving back at school. And have been re-discovering the wonders of PP fanfiction. *double sigh* If anyone has some good Peter/Wendy recommendations, please pass them on!! :D
