The boy steadily held her gaze, his face serious. “I’ve thought the same thing too, Pole,” he said quietly.
“You have?” her eyes widened.
He nodded. “I’ve felt the same since Stable Hill.”
“And I. Strangely, I’m not upset by the thought,” Jill said.
“Nor I.” Eustace agreed.
It's just so absolutely perfect. The whole thing fits them, and the feeling of the Last Battle, so beautifully.
