jane austen challenge -- day 16
Dec. 11th, 2012 09:36 am16. Least favorite film adaptation.
P&P 2003 -- a loose modern-day version of which I don't remember much except for disliking it.
P&P 2005 -- while visually and musically stunning with a couple standout performances, this version really disappoints me with its characterizations and plot changes.
S&S 1981 -- only saw it once and found it very boring.
NA 1987 -- an adaptation featuring weird 'rock' music, queer gothic fantasies, and some wooden performances. Reason for sticking out in my mind: the only Jane Austen adaptation which tries to insert the classic "love at first sight" moment with Henry and Catherine staring at each other when they first meet while Mrs. Allen rambles on about her dress.
